HiResume helps you write and edit your resume. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep and why.
What we keep
- Your resumes — what you type, or the text we read from a file you upload, so your work is saved.
- Your account, if you make one — your name and email, and your Google profile picture if you use Google sign-in. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
- Two small cookies — a random id that keeps your resumes private to your browser without an account, and a sign-in cookie when you are signed in.
- Simple visit counts — which page was opened, the device type (phone, tablet, desktop), your IP address and the time, so we can count visitors once and spot misuse. These records are deleted after 400 days.
- Contact messages — your name, email and message when you write to us.
What we don't do
- We don't keep the files you upload. They are read once to pull out the text.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or share your resume with anyone.
Who helps us run it
Pages are served by Vercel, the server runs on Render, data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, Google handles “Continue with Google”, and Brevo delivers contact messages to our inbox.
Your choices
You can delete any resume from My resumes at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, send us a message.
